What Project Blossom is (and isn't)
Project Blossom is a free guide to family resources in the Bay Area — childcare, food, housing, healthcare, mental health support, and more, across Santa Clara, San Mateo & Alameda Counties. That's the whole idea. There's nothing to join, nothing to buy, and nobody asking for your information.
It isn't a nonprofit, a charity, or a branch of anything. It's simply a website two people keep up because they think finding help should be easier than it is. When you call a number listed here, you're talking directly to that organization — we just point the way.
The story
Project Blossom started in December 2025 as a gift. Joey built the first version for Katherine — Kat — during toy drive season, when they were both spending a lot of time with local families and kept noticing the same thing: the help exists, but finding it is a maze of outdated pages and disconnected phone numbers.
Kat studies child development, and her heart for kids and the people raising them shapes everything here — from the focus on childcare and early learning to her corner of the site, where she shares reflections and books she loves.

How the directory works
Every organization in the directory is a real place serving Bay Area families, added by hand. We check listings as often as we can, but hours and programs change — so call ahead when you're able. If something is wrong or missing, tell us and we'll fix it.
Faith matters to us, and you'll see it in places like Kat's Corner. The resources themselves are for everyone — every family, every background, every belief. No exceptions.
